Open the cans of crushed tomatoes into a saucepan.

The next thing to do is to add the spices (parsley, basil, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder). There is no special order, so just add them and stir them in well.

Heat up the sauce on low-medium and stir every few minutes so that it doesn’t stick or burn.
