Description
This easy and cheesy Keto creamed spinach is going to be the perfect low carb side dish for your next dinner. With only a few ingredients and less than 20 minutes to make, it’s so creamy and delicious.

- 1 lb fresh spinach leaves (10 cups)
- 2 oz cream cheese
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp butter (divided)
- 2 cloves chopped garlic
- ¼ cup chopped onion
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut or pick off the stems of the spinach and set aside.
- Chop onion and mince the garlic.
- In your pan melt 1 tbsp of butter, add onion and garlic. Saute until tender it should take only a couple of minutes.
- Add the raw spinach. You may have to add it in batches.
- Once all the spinach has been added, let it cook down. As soon as it’s cooked, transfer to a colander in the sink to drain the liquid. Set aside.
- Add the remaining 1 tbsp of butter to the pan. Add cream cheese, heavy cream, and parmesan cheese. Stir for a couple of minutes until the sauce starts to thicken. It should only take a couple of minutes to thicken.
- When the sauce reaches the desired thickness, add the cooked spinach to the pan. Stir everything together.
- Sprinkle grated or shredded cheese and serve immediately.
Notes

- You can use frozen spinach instead of fresh
- Creamed spinach can be made 1-2 days ahead of time
- To reheat, place in microwave or in a frying pan on low heat
- Store leftover spinach in a container for 3-4 days
- To cook creamed spinach using a crockpot, add all ingredients and cook on low for 3-5 hours or on high for 1-3 hours
