The first step is to take the eggs out of the refrigerator in order to take the chill off them.

Get a medium-sized saucepan and fill it halfway with water. Bring it to a boil.

Now take your slotted spoon and carefully lower the eggs into the water one at a time.

Once the water starts to boil again, set the timer for 6 minutes for soft-boiled eggs. Take the eggs out of the pan and place them in a strainer while you dump out the hot water.

Now fill the pan with cold water and place the eggs back in the pan. Carefully crack the entire egg.
