Just wash the zucchini and then cut the ends off and shred the rest.

Use a hand grater and run the zucchini up and down until it’s completely shredded.

Once you are done shredding the zucchini, put it in a colander so that the water begins to drain out of it.

You need to get the excess water out of the zucchini. Use a dishcloth, cheesecloth or paper towels and wrap a portion of the squash at a time and squeeze as much water as you can get out of it.
