Description

This easy homemade Keto Taco Seasoning recipe is not only perfect for your tacos, but also a great way to spice up lots of chicken and beef recipes. It takes less than 5 minutes to make and most likely you have all the ingredients in your spice cabinet as well.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¼ cup cumin
  • ¼ cup chili powder
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • ½ tbsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp onion powder

This recipe makes a good size batch, but feel free to double it for an even larger batch. I recommend doubling it if you make tacos or fajitas on a weekly basis.

You can change the amount of each spice based on how much flavor you want.

Store the homemade seasoning in an airtight container or glass jar.

Keep stored in a cool dark place, like a pantry or spice cabinet.

It will last several months if stored properly.

I use regular paprika, but you can use smoked paprika if you prefer. Keep in mind that it will add a more smokey flavor.

This seasoning doesn’t have any thickening agents like store-bought ones, so if you want your taco meat to be thicker add ¼ tsp of xanthan gum with the spices.
